Police have arrested a 36-year-old man from Clearview for theft and five counts of deception.

Police will allege the man used a stolen credit card at a number of different service stations and supermarkets on one day last month.

Follow-up enquiries by police which included viewing CCTV vision, enabled police to identify and then catch up with a suspect.

A search of the man’s home revealed what police will allege was the clothing worn during his crime spree and as shown on the CCTV vision.

The credit card was stolen when a car was broken into and so once again police urge all motorists to remove valuables from their car before leaving it unattended.
