Monash detectives are investigating a burglary and theft at Tasman Meats in North Road, Huntingdale.

The burglary happened just before 1 o’clock on Sunday morning when a man smashed a window to gain entry into the premises located at 1358 North Road.

Once inside the store, the man broke into an office area and stole an amount of money.

The man, who was caught on CCTV, was wearing a distinctive club or branded jacket, fingerless gloves, grey hooded jumper and white running shoes.

Investigators would also like to speak to the driver of a 2004 light blue Ford station wagon that was driving through the car park in the early hours of Sunday morning.
