Police have arrested a man following an aggravated robbery at the United service station at Pennington tonight.

Police will allege the man entered the Torrens Road service station at about 7.10pm and demanded money, threatening the console operator with a weapon that was not produced. 

He left with an amount of cash, which has since been recovered. 

The service station attendant was not injured during the robbery. 

Police patrols attended and following a subsequent investigation, located and arrested a suspect at about 7.45pm. 

The 42-year-old Kilkenny man has been charged with aggravated robbery.  Bail will be refused and the arrested man is expected to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
