Police are investigating the armed robbery of a newsagent this afternoon at Woolloongabba during which two men fled with a sum of cash.

Around 4.45pm, two men entered the Stanley Street business and threatened the 68-year-old male attendant with a knife before fleeing with the cash on foot down Hubert Street.

The employee was not injured during this incident.

Both men are described as being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in appearance with slim builds.

One is described as approximately 180cm tall and was seen wearing a grey beanie/hat, grey jumper and dark long pants at the time.

The other is approximately 160cm tall and was seen wearing a blue collared T-shirt and dark shorts. This man is also described as having a rough, scarred face.
