Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Mortdale.

About 7.45pm today (Tuesday 17 May 2011), three men allegedly entered a licensed premises on Roberts Road.

The men allegedly threatened staff with firearms and a machete before assaulting two employees and running from the premises with an amount of money.

No shots were fired.

Two men, aged 21 and 36, suffered minor injuries.

Police from Hurstville Local Area Command responded to the incident and specialist forensics officers will examine the area for evidence.

Investigating officers are now seeking public help as they continue their inquiries. They wish to speak to three men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The men are described as wearing dark tracksuits and balaclavas.
