Police are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store at North Ipswich this morning.
Initial investigations indicate around 6am, a man entered the store on Holmes Street, selected an item from the fridge and then approached the counter.
After handing over money to pay for the item, the man has produced a weapon believed to be a pair of pliers and demanded the female attendant hand over cash.
The attendant complied and the man fled the store with a sum of money.
He was last seen in a vehicle heading towards Waterworks Road.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance with an olive complexion, aged in his early twenties, thin build, approximately 175cms tall, with medium brown hair and brown eyes. He has slight acne scarring on his cheeks.
He was wearing a purple hoddie jumper and green, white and purple chequered board shorts.
No one was injured and police investigations are continuing.
