Regional Investigations Unit officers are seeking to identify a man who can assist with inquiries into an armed robbery at a chemist in Shelley on Wednesday 7 September.

At around 11.50am, a man entered the Chemmart Chemist on Tribute Street in Shelley and approached the counter. He produced a small edged weapon, and demanded a quantity of drugs from the female staff member.

The staff member opened the safe and as he was removing medication, she ran from the store leaving him alone in the chemist.

Around a minute later, he left the store with an amount of drugs and is believed to have driven off in a white Ford Falcon.

He is described as being from 16-20 years old, around 180cm tall, with a slim build, shoulder  length straight light brown/blond hair. He was wearing a black jacket (perhaps leather or similar) with a hood, dark blue jeans, a red shirt and dark shoes.

The Ford Falcon is described as being a mid to late 1990 sedan, with black wing mirrors.

The driver’s side wing mirror was also being held on by green electrical tape.
