Police charged a 16-year-old girl after an 18-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted and robbed in Brisbane last night.
It is alleged the woman was seated with friends near the intersection of Ann and Turbot streets around 1am, when she was approached by a girl.
The youth allegedly assaulted the woman and struck her with an empty bottle causing lacerations to her head and shoulder.
The woman’s handbag was stolen and she was later transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment for non life threatening injuries.
The 16-year-old was charged with armed robbery and will be dealt with in accordance with the Youth Justices Act.
