Police have charged a 17-year-old Albion man this afternoon after an attempted armed robbery in Queen Street Mall, Brisbane City.
It is alleged that around 11:00am, the 17-year-old approached another man on the steps of a business and produced a knife.
It is further alleged that he demanded money from the man, but he entered the shop and the 17-year-old left the scene.
He was located a short time later by police and was arrested.
He has been charged with attempted armed robbery and armed robbery and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
