Detectives investigating the early morning armed robbery of a Wynnum West service station are searching for three male teenagers.
Around 4am two males entered the Preston Road service station, armed with a long piece of wood, possibly a broom handle.
One of the youths went to the counter and swung the wood at a display, knocking it down, before stealing a black metal cash draw. The second teenager remained near the front door, while the third waited at the rear of the service station.
The 21-year-old male attendant had entered the main shop area from a rear room but quickly retreated when he saw the youths. He was not harmed during the robbery.
The teenagers fled on foot and were last seen running towards Wondall Road.
All three are described as Caucasian, aged between 15 and 17 years with proportionate builds.
The first teenager was approximately 170cms tall and was wearing a black Nike jumper, which had a ‘Nike Tick’ on the front, as well as red and white stripes. He had a yellow cloth covering his face and was also wearing dark coloured shorts.
The second youth was wearing a dark hooded jumper with thick white stripes down both arms and a white logo on the front, as well as dark tracksuit pants.
