Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Sydney’s North West.

About 8pm yesterday (Saturday 8 October 2011), a man approached a 24-year-old woman on Aurelia Avenue, Toongabbie while she sat in her car and threatened her with a handgun.

The woman handed over her purse to the man who then left the scene.

The woman drove off a short while later and reported that a vehicle followed her to her home.

Police from Holroyd Local Area Command were notified of the incident and are investigating the matter.

They would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist their investigation.

The man was wearing a black hooded jacket and was concealing his face.
