A man has been charged after an alleged glassing in the Port Stephens area at the weekend.
About 10pm Saturday (15 October 2011), two men were involved in a physical altercation at a licenced club on Lemon Tree Passage Road, Tanilba Bay.
Police will allege that during the altercation, a 23-year-old man struck a 41-year-old man in the face with a schooner glass.
The 23-year-old man then left the location.
Police from Port Stephens Local Area Command attended the club and conducted inquiries.
The 41-year-old man was taken by NSW Ambulance Paramedics to Mater Hospital for treatment to a laceration to his face.
The 23-year-old man was arrested at Lemon Tree Passage Police Station yesterday (Sunday 16 October 2011).He was taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station and subsequently charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm.
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday 21 November 2011.
