Whyalla police are investigating an armed robbery at the Westlands Hotel on McDouall Stuart Avenue at Whyalla Norrie overnight. Just before midnight, three men armed with pistol, screwdriver, and a knife threatened cleaning staff and demanded money.
The suspects stole the cleaner’s handbag and fled without any cash or property from the hotel.
There were no injuries although the female cleaner was visibly shaken by the incident.
Police are checking security vision from the hotel to assist with the investigation.
