Police are appealing for public assistance after the robbery of a liquor store near Wollongong last night.

Shortly before 8pm, two men armed with knives entered the store on Railway Street, Bulli, and threatened the staff members.

They were handed an amount of cash and cigarettes before running from the store. They were last seen running north on Railway Street.

One male is described as aged in his early 20s, with a medium build, and about 173cm tall.

The other man is described as aged in his early 20s, of a medium build, and about 178cm tall.
