Police from Rosehill Local Area Command are appealing for information from the public following an armed robbery in Granville yesterday.
About 2.10pm (20 May), two men approached the front of a Clyde Street residence that is used as the administration office for a security company.
The men ordered a number of people standing on the front verandah of the premises to go inside, with one of the men displaying a firearm tucked in the front of his trousers.
Inside the building, the second offender also produced a firearm, and demanded cash and mobile phones.
One of the men then punched a 24-year-old male employee of the business in the face. The victim did not suffer serious injury or require medical treatment.
The offenders took two mobile phones before leaving the premises. On the way out, they stopped to rummage through a car parked in the driveway.
One of the men is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged 20 to 25 years, with a muscly build and about 170 to 180cm tall. His hair was tied back in a pony tail, shaved at the sides, and possibly with blond streaks.
The other man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 183 centimetres tall, with a medium build and shoulder-length hair.
The offenders were last seen leaving the scene on motorbikes.
Police established a crime scene and conducted a canvass of the area. They are also examining CCTV footage from a nearby hotel in a bid to identify the men.
