Police have arrested 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman both from Fulham following an aggravated robbery at a Post Office at Warradale North.  

 Just after 3.15pm, the man entered the post office on Diagonal Road allegedly armed with a knife threatened staff and demanded money. 

The suspect fled with an amount of cash and a staff member and customer chased him through nearby streets. 

Another member of the public driving past the incident also stopped to assist and the suspect was held until police arrived a short time later. 

Further enquiries were made in relation to a suspect car seen driving off from the incident. 

Just after 5pm police located the car and arrested a 19-year-old woman at a Fulham address. 

She was later charged with aggravated robbery and was released on police bail. 

 She is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrate’s Court on 4 January 2012.

 The man was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and illegal use of a motor vehicle. 

He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
