Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this evening in Rothwell.
A man entered a store on Deception Bay Road at around 8.20pm armed with what is believed to be a handgun and demanded cash from a female employee.
The woman complied and the man fled the store on foot with a sum of money. He was last seen running along Deception Bay Road towards a service station.
The man is described as being approximately 180cm tall and of a proportionate build. He was carrying a hard-hat.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Police investigations are continuing.
