Gold Coast detectives are investigating the burglary of a pharmacy at a Southport shopping centre this morning.
Around 5.20am a man has driven a white sedan through an entrance way and security grill of the shop at the Benowa Road complex.
The man has searched the location and subsequently taken a small amount of cash and a quantity of medical supplies.
He then fled the scene in the same vehicle.
The man is described as of Caucasian in appearance with a heavy build.
He was wearing three-quarter length pants, runners and used a t-shirt to cover his face.
