Police are investigating the armed robbery of a grocery store in south-western Sydney today.
Shortly after 9.30am (Friday 27 January 2012), a man entered the store on Amiens Road, Milperra, and threatened the store owner and an employee with a knife.
The man, who had his face concealed, demanded money from the register before fleeing with a sum of cash.
He was last seen running north along Amiens Road.
Police were notified and officers attached to Bankstown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information, to come forward.
The man is described as being about 180cm tall and of medium build. He was wearing a grey jumper, light-coloured pants, and red shoes.
