Police from Rosehill Local Area Command are investigating an armed robbery at Guilford this morning.
Witnesses have told police about 8.55am (25 May), four men approached a delivery van on Guilford Road.
The four men, who were wearing balaclavas, threatened the delivery driver before stealing cigarettes.
The cigarettes were loaded into a white van and the men then drove from the area.
No one was injured and no weapons were sighted.
Police were alerted to the incident and attended shortly after, establishing a crime scene.
A number of road blocks have been put in place and a canvass of the area is underway.
Investigating officers are now seeking public help as they continue their inquiries.
In particular, police are searching for a white van bearing NSW registration plates ‘ASJ 01Y’.
Police believe the registration plates have been removed from another vehicle.
Anyone who witnessed the robbery or who has information in relation the incident is being urged to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
If anyone sees the van they should not approach it but call ‘triple zero’ immediately.
