Police from Kings Cross Local Area Command are waiting to interview two men after a fight in Potts Point this morning.
Police have been told a 29-year-old man, from Wagga Wagga, and a 40-year-old man, from Kings Cross, became involved in an argument in a hotel on Darlinghurst Road about 1.30am today (9 January).
The younger man was cut on the back of the neck, the left arm and mouth during the struggle. He was also allegedly kicked and punched while on the ground.
The fight spilled onto the street and the older man was then allegedly punched and kicked.
Police and emergency services were called. The men were treated at the scene and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Two crime scenes were located and secured. A knife was found at the scene and was taken for forensic examination.
A number of witnesses were spoken to and detectives are now waiting to interview the men.
