Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this afternoon in Nerang.

 Initial information suggests that at around 12.45pm, a man has entered a Tibbing Street business and was armed with a knife 

He made demands for cash from the attendant, and the attendant handed over a sum of cash without further incident.

The man has then left the store on foot and fled in an unknown direction.

No one was physically injured as a result of this incident.

The man is being described as Caucasian in appearance, in his late teens, of a slim build and was approximately 175cms tall.

He was last seen wearing a light blue hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants with a bold white stripe up the side and black shoes.

He was also wearing a dark coloured bandana over his face at the time.
