Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a takeaway store in Boonah last night.
A man entered the Coronation Drive store at around 8.30pm, armed with a knife and demanded cash.
The employees threw pies and a broom at the man and chased him out of the store.
The man fled empty handed and was last seen running down Elizabeth Street.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian, around 170cm tall, with a slim build.
Investigations are continuing.
