Police are investigating two separate armed robberies in Brisbane today.

Around 11.35am a man entered a betting store on Cracknell Road at Annerley and produced what was believed to be a firearm.

The man demanded money from the employee who refused. The man then turned and fled the scene on foot without any cash.

Around 12.20pm a man entered a betting store on Beaudesert Road at Moorooka and attempted to place a bet. After a short time he produced what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money from the attendant.

The attendant complied and the man ran from the store on foot with a quantity of cash.

No one was physically injured during either incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian, around 188cm tall with a slim build, an acne-marked face, clean shaven, aged in his late 30’s or 40’s and had an Australian accent.

He was wearing a red shirt and beige cargo pants
