10 March 2012 – Armed Robbery – Tobacconist – Elizabeth Park

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at a Tobacconist store in Elizabeth Park today. 

At about 1.10pm, two men- one armed with a samurai sword, entered the Free Choice Tobacconist on Yorktown Road and threatened staff demanding money. 

The suspects were wearing balaclavas and gloves and stole cigarettes and money before running off. 

No one was physically injured. 

Both suspects are described as males aged in their late teens -early 20’s. 

One suspect is described as Aboriginal appearance wearing distinctive Nike black and white ankle pump sneakers and a grey short sleeved top.  The other suspect is described as Caucasian appearance wearing blue pants similar to cargo style and a grey short sleeved top with a gold or yellow number motif on the back.
