Police have arrested a man after he allegedly robbed a bottle shop on Brighton Road, Brighton, last night, armed with a hammer and Stanley knife.
The hold-up occurred just before 10pm.
The male suspect threatened staff and made off with a sum of cash and a bottle of spirits before running from the scene.
There were no injuries during the robbery.
Police patrols searched the area and located a suspect on nearby Elgin Avenue, Warradale a short time later.
The money and the alcohol have been recovered.
A 19-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, going equipped to commit an offence and breach of bail.
He has not applied for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
