Four people will face court today charged over an alleged kidnapping.

Police from the Gladesville Local Area Command were contacted about 4.10pm yesterday (Monday 30 May) by the manager of a financial institution in Ryde.

Police will allege the manager informed them that three people entered the premises and were attempting to extort money from a customer.

Police from the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad attended and arrested two men aged 46 and 53, and a woman aged 28.

The two men were taken to Ryde Police Station where they were charged with aggravated kidnapping.

The woman was taken to Parramatta Police Station where she was also charged with aggravated kidnapping and possess prohibited drug.

About 8.10pm that same day, following the execution of a search warrant, police arrested and charged a 35-year-old woman with aggravated kidnapping.
