Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a milk bar in Carlton North tonight.
Detectives have been told that a man wearing a black mask and armed with a knife entered the store on Rathdowne Street just before 7pm.
It’s alleged the offender made threats to the female staff member, demanding cash, cigarettes and her mobile phone.
The attendant handed over her phone and a small amount of cash and cigarettes before the bandit fled the store.
The man fled the scene in an unknown direction.
No one was injured.
The offender is described as being 180cm tall with a medium build.
His face was covered and he was wearing a grey hooded top, black pants and runners.
