Police from Holroyd Local Area Command are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Guildford last night.

About 9.20pm (Monday 16 July 2012), two men entered a mixed business on Guildford Road armed with a golf club.

The men threatened the male shop attendant demanding cash from the till.

The attendant refused and was subsequently assaulted with the golf club.

He suffered a suspected fractured hand and a laceration to his head. He was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

The two men, only described as being tall with large builds, and one was wearing a yellow bandanna, ran from the store.

It is unclear if anything was taken.
