18 July 2012 – Attempted Robbery – Newsagency – Worongary

Police are seeking public assistance after the attempted robbery of a news agency in Worongary this morning.
At around 9.15am, a man entered the Mudgeeraba Road shop and allegedly attempted to steal money from the cash register.
The owner of the store intervened and attempted to restrain the man.
The man broke away from the owner and fled the scene in a white Honda.
He is described as Caucasian, in his late 20s to early 30s, with short black hair.
He was wearing a high visibility orange jacket, a long sleeved grey shirt, black jeans and black sunglasses.
