Police have charged an 18-year-old local man following investigations into the alleged armed robbery of a take-away store at Currumbin Waters on Monday night.
It will be alleged around 7pm a man armed with a knife entered the Currumbin Creek Road store and made demands for money.
The female attendant complied and the man allegedly fled the store with a sum of cash.
The attendant was not physically injured during the incident.
An 18-year-old Currumbin Waters man was charged with one count of armed robbery and will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
