Police have charged a 15-year-old boy following the alleged robbery of a convenience store at Inala this afternoon in which two employees were injured.

It will be alleged around 2.15pm a boy entered the Biota Street store and stole electronic equipment before attempting to leave.

A staff member confronted the boy who then allegedly pushed him and struck him in the head.

Another employee attempted to restrain the boy and a struggle ensued. During the struggle the attendant was allegedly kicked in the head.

One staff member sustained scratches and bruising while the other sustained bruising.

The 15-year-old Eagleby boy was charged with one count of robbery and one count of common assault and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
