Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Beenleigh earlier this morning.

Around 12.25, a man has entered a City Road convenience store on City Road and produced what appeared to be a knife.

He has made demands for cash, and the attendant has complied with these demands.

The man has then left the business with a sum of cash, and fled the scene on foot.

The man was last sighted heading toward City Road.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, of a slim build and around 175cms tall.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, blue jeans and black gloves.

Police investigations are continuing.
