POLICE are hunting two gunmen who held up Stockton Bowling Club at closing time last night.
Newcastle City police were called to Mitchell Street about 10.35pm after the men stormed the club and demanded cash.
They fled on foot but police were not sure if they had used a getaway vehicle and blocked the only road exit, on Fullerton Street, about 10.45pm.
A car was later found dumped at nearby Fullerton Cove.
The men were described as being of medium build and were wearing dark coloured clothing and balaclavas.
