Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at Pacific Pines in the early hours of this morning.

Around 2am a man entered the store at the intersection of Pacific Pines Boulevard and Binstead Way. He produced a handgun and confronted the store employee while making demands for money.

The store attendant handed over money from till and the offender fled the store. He was last seen running towards Universal Drive.

The 29-year-old male store attendant was not physically injured during the incident.
