24 September 2012 – Update – Armed Robbery – Pharmacy – Gailes

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen a 2002-2004 silver Toyota Corolla sedan circling around a chemist on Old Logan Road at Gailes on September 19.

Around 4.30pm, a man entered the Old Logan Road store and threatened the attendant with a firearm before fleeing.

A 47-year-old man passing by was shot in the leg by the offender after giving chase on foot.

The man was initially taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment to serious leg injuries.
