Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at a North Adelaide convenience store at about 9.50pm last night.

A man entered the Melbourne Street shop armed with a knife and threatened a staff member. The suspect punched the victim and stole cash and an iPad before walking east on Melbourne Street. The employee did not require medical treatment.

The suspect is described as a man aged in his 20s, of Aboriginal appearance, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a blue bandana with yellow dots.
