Police are investigating an armed robbery of an electronic store in Maitland this morning.
About 8.30am (Thursday 11 October), a man entered the store on High Street and spoke with a female employee.
He falsely claimed to be a Police officer before producing a knife and stealing cash.
The man left the store after tying up the woman’s hands and feet. The victim managed to free herself and contact police.
Police from the Central Hunter Local Area Command established a crime scene and Detectives from Central Hunter Command have been called in to investigate the matter. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 20s or early 30s.
