Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in Willowbank today.

Around 7.20am, a man has entered the O’Neills Road store and approached the main counter.

After placing a black bag on the counter, the man produced a knife, pointed it at two shop attendants and used it to cut the cords of the cash register.

The man fled the store with the cash register and was last seen getting into a white Toyota Corolla with no registration plates.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 185cm tall with a proportionate build.

At the time of the offence he was wearing a black baseball cap and black jacket.
