8 October 2012 – Update – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Tavern – Woodcroft

Detectives from Organised Crime Investigation Branch – Operation Counteract arrested a 24-year-old man from Mile End on Friday for aggravated robbery on the Woodcroft Tavern on 22 July 2012.

Police will allege the man entered the Woodcroft Tavern, Bains Road, Woodcroft wearing a balaclava and armed with a machete.

He demanded money and left with a sum of cash.

Assistance from members of the public led Operation Counteract Detectives to locate what police will allege is the clothing worn during the robbery.

He will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court this morning (8/10/12) charged with one count of aggravated robbery.
