Police have charged a 14-year-old girl and a 17-year-old man following investigations into a robbery that occurred last night in North Ipswich.
Around 7.10pm, a 26-year-old man entered an elevator within a shopping centre car park on The Terrance.
It is alleged that two males followed him into the elevator and one man assaulted him before stealing car keys from his pocket.
It is further alleged the males have fled the car park in the victim’s vehicle.
The vehicle was located crashed into a pole on Railway Terrace at Goodna around 9pm.
The 14-year-old local girl was charged with unlawful use of motor vehicle and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
The 17-year-old Raceview man was charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle and robbery with violence. He is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
