Police from Operation Counteract, Operation Mandrake, STAR Group and Western Adelaide Local Service Area with assistance from the police helicopter managed a high-risk incident at Findon yesterday afternoon.
Detectives from Operation Counteract were in the area conducting enquiries in relation to recent aggravated robberies, acting on information supplied to police from within the Aboriginal community, when a wanted man was sighted.
After a lengthy period the man was arrested together with other people at or visiting a premises on Grange Road.
As previously reported, a 42-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested for a warrant relating to breaching parole conditions, a 20-year-old man from Pennington was arrested and charged with breaching bail, illegal use of a motor vehicle and other matters, and a 32-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with the aggravated robbery committed on the gaming room at the Enfield Hotel, Clearview and other associated offences which occurred on 15 October this year.
It will be alleged that a double barrelled shotgun was used to threaten staff and customers during that incident.
All three men were refused police bail and the man charged with the Enfield Hotel incident will be appearing in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
Enquiries continue and police are still seeking other persons allegedly involved in the aggravated robbery.
