Just before 4pm today, a woman was robbed of her handbag on the rooftop car park of Tea Tree Plaza.

A man armed with a knife approached the victim and stole her bag.  She was not injured during the theft.

The man left in a dark Holden Commodore sedan.

The victim was able to provide police with a description of the man, who is aged his late 20s, 172cm tall, slim build, with crew cut dark hair and an olive complexion, and the registration of the getaway car.

Police are currently making inquiries to try to locate the suspect.

In an unrelated incident, a woman was robbed of her mobile phone at Kidman Park earlier this afternoon.

At about 3.15pm, the woman was assaulted by an unknown man at the corner of Frogmore Road and Kidman Avenue and received minor injuries to her face.

The man is described as having a dark complexion and left the scene in a car driven by another person.  No details of the vehicle were obtained.
