Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at Elizabeth East over the weekend.

At about 6 pm on Saturday, a 23-year-old man was approached by an unknown male in the car park of the Elizabeth East shopping centre.

The male demanded that the victim hand over his gold neck chain.

The victim ran but was chased by the offender and then forced to the ground during which the victim’s chain was stolen.

The offender ran off and the victim sustained minor head injuries as a result of the attack.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 175 cm tall with medium build, a shaved head, goatee beard and with a southern cross tattoo on his lower left leg.

The man was wearing a red baseball cap, blue shorts, red and white jumper.
