Police from the Burwood Local Area Command have appealed for information from the public after the armed robbery of a licensed premise at Concord earlier today.

About 6pm, (Tuesday 6 November, 2012), two men armed with a machete and a knife entered a licensed club on Nirranda Street.

Once inside, the men threatened a staff member and demanded cash.

The female employee, who was not injured in the incident, handed over an amount of cash and the men left.

Police from Burwood Local Area Command attended and commenced a search of the area utilising a police dog to track the men along Nirranda Street.

A crime scene was established at the club and also along Nirranda Street where several items were located and seized for further forensic testing.

The first man is described as being of Pacific Islander appearance, muscular build, aged in his mid 20s and was wearing aqua-coloured long sleeved top and dark pants.

The other man is of Middle Eastern appearance, chubby build, unshaven appearance, aged in his mid 20s and wearing a dark top with a white motif and dark pants.
