Police have charged a 21-year-old man following investigations into the armed robbery of a takeaway food store in Bowen on Sunday night.
It will be alleged around 9pm a man entered the Herbert Street store and threatened two female employees with a knife before fleeing with a sum of cash from the register.
The two employees were not physically injured.
A 21-year-old Townsville man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and two counts of deprivation of liberty.
He will appear in the Bowen Magistrates Court today.
