A 55 year old man is assisting police with their investigations following reports a man allegedly armed with a knife entered the Cairns offices of WIN Television, ABC Radio and the Cairns Post Newspaper this afternoon and threatened staff.
A man was taken into police custody at the office of the Cairns Post without further incident.
There are no reports of physical injury
