A man has been charged following the alleged armed robbery of a Logan Central service station early this morning.

It will be alleged that around 1am a man entered the Wembley Road service station armed with a knife and demanded money from the male attendant.

It will also be alleged that the man kicked and damaged a glass door as he left the premises after receiving a sum of cash.

The console operator was not harmed.

A 26-year-old Woodridge man has been charged with armed robbery, wilful damage and obstruct police.  He is expected to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
