Police are investigating an incident where a female cashier in an Eden Hill delicatessen was forced to hand over a quantity of cash when a man threatened her with a knife.The incident occurred at about 8.15am on Wednesday 15 June 2011 when the offender, who was armed with a knife, entered the Walter Road Handy Mart located on the corner of Ivanhoe Street and Walter Road East, Eden Hill. He approached the lone female cashier and produced a knife, demanding money. He then fled from the scene and was seen by a witness shortly afterwards riding a pushbike.
The man sought by police is described as being in his mid twenties, 180
‐182cms tall with a tanned complexion and solid build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a dark jacket, light coloured pants and a piece of purple material tied around his face
