Detectives in Sydney’s south are conducting inquiries after two mobile phone stores at Hurstville were burgled overnight.

Police from Hurstville Local Area Command were patrolling Forest Road, Hurstville, about 2.15am today, when they spotted two males running from a mobile phone store.

The pair got into a black high-performance sedan parked outside the store and sped off towards Croydon Street.

Officers followed the vehicle along Croydon Street to Stoney Creek Road, where they lost sight of it.

Police then returned to the business on Forest Road and commenced inquiries.

Investigations revealed a second mobile phone store in nearby The Avenue had also been broken into.

Crime scenes were established at both locations and examined by forensics officers.

Local detectives are appealing for public help as they continue their inquiries to identify and locate the offenders.
